How to setup Remote Dialer
with Zone alarm
To use Remote Dialer with
Zonealarm you need to configure some setting of Zonealarm
on the
server and client machine
For server :
1. Set your local network to 'Trusted' zone'
- on zone alarm go to firewall setting then select
'zone' tab
- click 'add' button then select 'subnet'
- write this setting
zone : trusted
IP address : 192.168.0.0
subnet : 255.255.255.0
description : local area network
-click OK button
2. Set your internet zone security to medium to allow your
server to share internet connection to
the client
- on zonealarm go to firewall setting than choose
'main' tab
- move internet zone security bar to medium
If you also install Zonealarm on the client machine , you should
do the following configuration
1. Set your local network to 'Trusted' zone'
- on zone alarm go to firewall setting then select
'zone' tab
- click 'add' button then select 'subnet'
- write this setting
zone : trusted
IP address : 192.168.0.0
subnet : 255.255.255.0
description : local area network
-click OK button
